Komatchawa brings together authentic Japanese matcha and handcrafted New Zealand chocolates to create a premium treat with a purpose. Every chocolate is carefully made using ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Japan, and handcrafted by Aroha Chocolate, Nelson.

Our journey with Komatchawa began with a simple idea: to create delicious chocolate while making a meaningful difference in our community. A very special part of our journey has been working with Aroha Chocolate, a Nelson-based artisan chocolate company known for its handcrafted chocolates and passion for quality and flavour. We feel incredibly grateful and lucky to have Aroha Chocolate as our manufacturer, as their experience, care, and craftsmanship help bring our vision for Komatchawa to life. Having our chocolate made right here in Nelson also makes our journey even more meaningful, as we are proud to work alongside another local business. Together, we are creating something that is not only delicious, but also has a purpose—supporting the future of young children through Big Brothers Big Sisters Nelson.
